FILM MAKING AS A TOOL

I have a passion for Heritage Projects. I regularly collaborate on films which highlight unique stories of historic and cultural importance.

I would like to tell more stories of the natural world, I regularly hike long distances in the UK and hope to combine my love for the outdoors with my digital storytelling. I think film is a perfect way to highlight some of the magical spaces around us.

FILM IN CARE HOMES

I love telling all kinds of stories. Featured here are clips from a film created with Gecko Theatre celebrating an innovative creative collaboration with a brilliant care home in Essex. For more information about that project visit www.gecko-still.co.uk/

TESTIMONY FROM SEEN

"It was a very beautiful experience. I think artists with new ideas and trying new things like these need to be appreciated more in society. This is all about curiosity. Thank you for sharing this with me".

YOUNG FILM MAKERS

A good example of this is our work with Half Moon Theatre in 2020.

Over a few intensive weeks we worked with over a hundred young people to make 5 unique 15 films celebrating Half Moon’s 30th Anniversary. The films championed the creativity of the young performers and their group leaders.

The films were shot, edited and shared online all within a month.

Here is a trailer for the project:

TESTIMONY - HALF MOON

"Rich supported us, guided us and brought rigour, insight and creativity that made everything we wanted to achieve come alive in film. He really listened to everyone, really got what all of our different teams wanted to achieve and then brought that all together in something well beyond anything we could have imagined. Rich made a new and daunting process for us a pleasure and a triumph, from beginning to end. He goes above and beyond and no ask is too big; he understands the bigger picture and cares about the tiny details; he adapts to all situations and works around constraints. Let him loose with your young people’s ideas – he will produce incredible things that put inclusion and the young people’s positive experience of the process at the heart." - Beccy Allen, Former Head of Creative Learning, Half Moon Theatre
